Gus Kenworthy might not have won back to back Olympic medals, yet he elevated the sport. He inspired a generation of kids. He became a huge role model for people around the world, and he gained the love of a nation.

Gus will always have a special place in my heart, from the moment I heard about him rescuing dogs in Sochi, to the moment he became a strong leader in the LGBTQ Community. 💜

I couldn’t find any pictures of young Adam Rippon on tumblr and that is a TRAGEDY.

So let’s all enjoy this picture of floofy haired baby gay Adam from 2010 (winning bronze at skate Canada with Patrick Chan and Nobunari Oda)

Oh wow. The regular primetime figure skating coverage really is so much nicer than the Olympics channel one–they introduced the program at the beginning and then just STAYED QUIET AND LET ME ENJOY THE PROGRAM for almost the entire rest of Adam’s skate! And the recording quality of the music was much nicer too.

The program really was SO PRETTY. Probably the best skate of Adam’s career here and they’re for the OLYMPICS. MY POOFY HAIRED BABY GAY IS ALL GROWN UP!

But I will say, in contrary evidence to the cursed timeline: YUZU AND JAVI WERE INCREDIBLE IN THEIR FREE SKATES! Incredible.

AND JAVI MEDALLED. Javier Fernandez brought an Olympic figure skating medal home to Spain for the first time ever and I’m SO PROUD OF HIM.
