As a GoFundMe Certified Charity campaign, all funds will be processed by the PayPal Giving Fund and will be sent directly to the synagogue instead of through the campaign organizer.

I love it when Icelandic sagas attribute every microscopic inconvenience that befalls a hero on his journeys to “witchcraft”. It makes me picture a really bored witch just micromanaging the hell out of this one particular guy’s daily travails.
My favorite bit of Icelandic saga is when one dude’s house is invaded by not one, but two bands of zombies (because he pissed off a witch, obviously), which did such terrible zombie things as taking the best spots by the fire and throwing clods of dirt at each other.
The homeowner, being a fine upstanding Icelandic farmer/warrior type, did what you’d expect a Viking warrior to do when faced with invading zombies.
He sued them. In court. With lawyers. As one does.

everyone is being squeezed: the cyclists work hard in poor conditions, the investors throw money at the company they won’t get back, the customers pay more for worse food, the restaurants pay a hefty cut for the extra business.

Real Talk: The US Hypercapitalist Dystopian Gig-Economy Hellscape is basically just a couple hundred asshole con-artists in Silicon Valley competeing to see how much they can scam out of dipshit venture capitalists who get a half chub from the words “monetary velocity” and “disruptive innovation” before they get caught, and the idea of a ‘meritocracy’ is a lie spoon-fed to us from cradle to grave to keep anyone from noticing this.
