I just realized all the kids growing up with Spotify donāt have to spend money on specific music anymore, so they probably wonāt have the memory of saving up money to buy their first CD and having it be something super cringyā¦like I think I saved up $15 for three weeks to buy the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack at Barnes & Noble when I was 9 and I was really proud of myself for that. Add your first CD you were way too proud of buying in the tags

āThey have to make a getaway from that world and Kate requests a world where they can go beat up something big. Some of this actually made its way over to the Misty/Danny story that took its place. I like superheroes fighting dinosaurs, okay?ā
āAnyway, they fight dinosaurs, Kate gets more but America has to save her from a big one dino thatās not impressed by her arrows (aka America Chavez punches out a t-rex). And thenā¦ā
āSoā¦America relents and takes Kate to her favorite dimension. Thisā¦uhā¦I totally stole a chunk of Capās speech from Infinity Gauntlet, then immediately had Kate call Doom a chump. Becauseā¦have we met?ā

it worries me so much that thereās been this (mostly unintentional) culture built up around coming out, to where young lgbt kids are putting themselves in danger at school and at home because they donāt want to ālive a lie.ā i just want to say, i came out when i was 15 and it created a lot of difficulties in my life that i could have avoided by waiting until i was older. it isolated me socially, it exposed me to homophobia from my parents, my family, my teachers, and my classmates at the most important developmental stages of my own confidence and sense of selfā¦ closeted people are not living a lie. closeted people are surviving. donāt let anyone pressure you to come out before youāre ready. donāt put yourself at risk when you donāt have to.
(Iām not posting this less to correct the timeline portrayed in Bohemian Rhapsody, which I mostly really enjoyed, than simply to share a beautiful story that shines light on who Freddie actually was, up to the very end.)
